voyager booster patch

I had several hours of dropped connections. Every 5 minutes. This booster patch has fixed the problem I think. I have been steady on now for 17 minutes

www.voyager.bt.com/booster

I can`t understand why techies at plus.com couldn`t tell me this

voyager booster patch

I just installed this booster. When i connected i recieved the error pages plusnet were sorting out yesterday re: problems with the bt circuit that provides my suppliers adsl.

After uninstalling it my connection works no problem.

Could this file be the source of some peoples problems.

how to remove this booster?

Hi how do you remove this patch?
After installing it the speed seems to have taken a tumble..

Has anybody noticed that there appears to be a 200kbits/sec limit on P2P etc?

I have raised several tickets and been told there is NO shaping on the BB Premier account..
BUT If you start sevaral torrents the speed goes over the 1000kbps (total speed) then magically comes down to the 200kbps mark..

Hi Kevin,

Just for info, if you have been told that there is no shaping on BB Premier, you have been informed wrongly.

See Plus Net Traffic Management Guide

If the support team have given you this information recently I would suggest bringing it to the attention of a member of the Comms Team, stewnorris, dtomlinson or bbrown. They will educate the agent in question.

Traffic is shaped on all adsl products.

Thanks found it eventually..
its under " BT Voyager Booster.." in add/remove..
Thanks..

PCSNI thanks for the info ..I will follow that up with Plusnet..

I think that their statement " Activities such as file sharing are given slightly less priority but will still be fast " is misleading as the drop in performance is Drastic not Slightly less..
