Could this be the reason for my very frequent dropped connections? I have checked evrything else including connecting direct to the master socket.

All equipment eventually is replaced by better and often cheaper products and that is all that has happened. This does not make the equipment faulty or unusable as it is perfectly capable or supporting the current broadband speeds available which is what it was designed for.

The voyager 105 replaced the voyager 100 and thus something else is now replacing the voyager 105. Technology changes and improves all the time, just lik your PCs.

I use the Voyager 105 and haven't had any problems with it yet (touches wood). I like the stats and tests it gives (though can't understand half of them!)

USB modems being so cheap (and flimsy), it'd be wise to have a spare one in store for when the one you use develops problems. Also to test connection problems before risking a BT engineer bill Cry
