RE: virus alert

yes i got that virus thanks to my little sister.

And they ask me why I never let them use the PC.

It found its way past Norton and disabled it so I couldn't run it or get updates and task manager wouldn't run so I couldn't close down anything.

Thank God for Trend. Sorted the problem out very quickly.

I think Trend is reffering to Trend Micro's who offer an on line virus check.

I must say though that I have not had a single virus now for months. I put this down to the fact that all my mail is now processed with the "Mail Washer" program so I only actually download mail that is meant for me and passes the filters.
I can recommend that as well as your normal anti virus program you try out Mail Washer.
It's free from www.mailwasher.net

RE: virus alert

Sorry guys, I posted a warning just now before seeing this one.

It is quite severe and warrants the extra posting in any case.

Cheers all and hope we got the warning out quick enough for the 'green' users.

Thanks John

What a simple, yet very effective way of keeping away all unwanted mails.

I am now protected!
