Your exchange is amber which means speed variations will occur. See the link for an estimated BT upgrade date and to explain what I am talking about.

Your average speeds are pretty good for 512k ADSL anyway, you always will get fluctuations as you are on a 50:1 contension so the more users (i.e the busier the period) the less bandwidth is available for each individual connection.
