slow P2P

Hi,

My modem reports that my connection speed is 3.4mb/s. When downloading from microsoft.com I get around 100Kb/s, which seems decent enough.

If I run P2P apps really early in the morning, say at 5am, my download speed is typically around the 100KB/s mark. However, during daylight hours, it's atrocious - more like 2KB/s. This has been going on for weeks/months.

I’m way below the monthly download limit, and my product type is Broadband Premier.

Do other people have this problem? I'd like to know if this is this a general problem for all Plus Net customers, or whether something wrong with my account.

Thanks

I'm not at all a regular poster on these forums and until now i've kept my mouth shut on this subject but enough is enough as far as i'm concerned, if things dont improve in the very near future i'm requesting my MAC code and i'm off.

My friend, you are not the only one..........mac code will be required very soon if this does not get sorted out. Im not just talking p2p in talking pretty much everything!

I've already had my MAC and it was the best thing I've done in years. I now have a decent Internet connection across the board including P2P.

julijonas you have been told multiple times of the correct procedre for obtaining your MAC code.

This thread is one example.

What are you having problems with now? Have you tried requesting it via the help assistant?

Same problems here. Been here ages, but requested mac code last night, hoped I'd have it by now as I'm eager to get this sorted.

Are people sticking around due to blind loyalty (mods etc.?), or are some people getting decent speeds here? Honestly interested to know, as I've had no probs in the past but I just can't justify the cost for current service.
