slow MaxDSL speeds

about 10 days ago i was upgraded to maxdsl and according to my router:

Downstream Rate: 7616 Kbps
Upstream Rate: 448 Kbps

however i haven't had any speed increase atall, i have restarted my router numerous times during this period and understand it can take 10-14 days to stabilise but surely that would mean i would be getting at least some sort of speed increase albeit maybe unreliable.

i have done the bt speed tester and came back with:

IP profile for your line is - 2000 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM)
7616 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 1848 kbps

am i going to have to contact tech support about this or is it normal for it to take this long to take effect?

slow MaxDSL speeds

First, wait a few more days as the Bras profile may not have been sent to PN by BT yet. Only then do the following:

Check what your stable rate set to? If this is less than 7000 (based on your current sync rate) that will why your speed is slow so raise a question and get it fixed.

If after 14 days your speed is still slow, raise a question and get PN to report a speed fault to BT - Your Bras profile may have not been set properly.
