remote access on static ip

I have a plusnet account with static ip and wondered if there is a way to configure my DLink airport router (DSL-604+) so I can access my machine from a remote location. I'm pretty sure I need to setup some kind of port redirection or NAT - but I admit to being rather clueless on the issue.

If anyone could point me in the direction of a good FAQ I'd really appreciate it.

Any ideas would be most welcome.

Thanks

Chris

remote access on static ip

Hi,

To access the Mac remotely via the command line (Darwin) all you need to do is forward port 22 (SSH) to your Mac. Then you be able to use any SSH software (e.g. Putty) to connect to the Mac.

If you want full desktop control you'll need Remote Desktop from Apple
