quite a strange thing going on....

Hello there,

My Internet gateway is an OpenBSD box with a Thomson USB ADSL modem.
User space ppp is providing the Internet but occassionally the modem, whilst syncing, manages to get a different IP address and gateway IP.
Below is a section of /var/log/ppp.log when this occurs:

All the above basically means I am given this IP address 81.152.93.15 and this default gateway IP address 217.47.22.134.

My static PlusNet IP address is 80.229.252.104.

Any idea why I am being given a different IP and gateway?

Thanks in advance

quite a strange thing going on....

I see your log is from the 7th - I had a similar problem here - http://portal.plus.net/central/forums/viewtopic.php?t=39811

Some people might notice this at the moment, as due to the issues with our radius server people are occasionally being assigned a different IP address to the one on their account. This will be resolved once the underlaying connection issue is fixed.
