problem

er i have a problem with connecting to my adsl connection. most of the time i cant get connected and a error 650 that states that my modem is not responding properly. please verify.

does any1 know what can be done about this

problem

standard checks when you cant connect/loose synch:

1. reboot everything and try again
2. If using a PCI or USB modem then check that the username and pw is still there, windows has a nice habit of removing the pw when you have a failed connection.
3. disconnect[ ie Unplug from the Phone socket not just choose disconnect in windows] for 30 mins to force the inline card at your exchange to See that you have actually disconnected.

They actually generally say you should disconnect for 35 minutes (just to be on the safe side)... but otherwise, there isn't much I can add!
