over bandwidth speed limit won't go away

re: ticket 21873393

Late Thursday I got an email from PN stating I had gone over bandwidth and my speeds were being reduced, but gave me handy options to upgrade. Weird, thought I, we used to get advance warnings...but hey, so I duly added another 5gb of bandwidth.

Still slow.
Checked with support.
Told to reboot equipment. Which I did. Twice. Still no speeds over 150kbps.
Checked with support again. They said 'oh we fixed it now sorry. reboot and all will be fine.'
Which I did, twice. But still speed restriction.

Then I got an email saying I had gone over my 25gb limit, which for one, I knew I had not because I had not downloaded anything bigger than a few hundred mb, and my connection was too slow to even get thru 5gb in 2days.

My View usage doesnt show this level of usage either.

So I am still stuck on ISDN speeds, despite coughing up the extra dough, as instructed by plusnet. I would have done so in advance if I'd had a chance to do so. But if you're going to penalise people with speed limits that can't be reset easier, wouldn't it make more sense to keep the advance warnings, or just have a simple, on or off setting?

Can anyone fix my speed limit? I paid up...I was good! Now give me the service I am paying for...please?

Sorry about the delay on this one...The limitations need to be lifted by our networks team so I'm gonna get this chased up and sorted out for you as soon as possible.

thank you...
I am surprised that this is such a big deal as it must happen quite a lot?
Do you know of any plans to reintroduce the bandwidth limit warning emails? Might be an idea

3.5 days later and I'm still waiting.
At 2pm I was told I would get regular updates...

Ok...

This'll teach me to actually pay for upgrades! I could have got this speed without paying any extra...
And ftp and p2p doesnt seem to be working. perhaps not allowed on the restricted service?

Is 3.5 days an acceptable level of service for a fault CAUSED by plusnet?

and still waiting for a response from the 'network team'.
24 hours without an update isn't poor service, its just rude...
I couldnt get away with treating my clients like this.

Finally!
Thank you for the chasing. Appreciated. If only all the PN employees were as useful as those who frequent the forum...
Back to my 5-6mbps....ahh...I can FTP again!
