i`ve recently moved into a new house (new estate also), and registered a new number with BT about 10 days ago. today, i did the 17070 test and got a strange message back. it told me that the CLI had a circuit error.
i phoned BT and spoke to a nice lady (makes a change) who couldn't understand the problem either. she toldme it may be because it was a new number and that i should leave itabout 10 days or so, and try again.
am i likely to fail the ADSL test? broadband is available in my town and i live about 1/2 a mile from a friend who has it.
any suggestions? could it be because i`ve registered the number with pluas.net and they are awaiting the ADSL test? -- i may be welsh, but i don't ***** sheep!
In all honesty, I would get a second opinion on the cause of this error through BT's helpdesk!
It is feasible that the new line has not yet been registered in full on BT's database and is therefore returning this error but I would certainly get this confirmed.
Please let us know how you get on and we will take it from there.
