Trying to connect using USB modem - the link LED stays on but when trying to log on I get error message (360 or 350 I believe) : 'the computer you are trying to connect to does not respond to a network request'
It also suggests checking the connection settings/properties.

Any help gratefully received, :?

if you lost synch and its not got it back then try in this order:

1. reboot everything
2. Fully[remove ADSL plug from phone socket]disconnect for 30 mins to force the inline card at your exchange to see you have disconnected.
3. phone PN CS if those don't help.

Sorry, should be clearer: I'm new to this and havn't yet got a synch on the modem ever. I have tried a couple of times (after shuting down) but with same result..?

You need to check the settings are correct and the modem is installed properly. Check the portal link:support pages and modem's manual.

Have you been told your line is activated?

You can't synch until your line is connected to the eqipment, and sometimes, this does not happen until your day of activation.
