name already exists

When trying to connect to the internet, after it verifies my username/password, I get an error saying that my computer name already exists on the network, or something very similar, I forget exactly. The only way to get round this is to change my computer name and restart, then it works fine. However, the next time I restart the same thing happens again. Please help, this is really annoying.

It sounds like you have MS File and Print sharing enabled on your internet dial up connection. The only network service you need to run on your internet connection is TCP/IP

In the networking tab of your Dial-Up connection properties make sure that MS File and Print sharing, and Client for Microsoft networks, are not selected.
