what is good line clarity (ranges) methinks mine is about 24Db (whatever that means)


just needs clarifying what teh hell it all means,

line clarity

There are two important readings when your line is measured for ADSL suitability.

One is the Overall Loss in Dbs (Decibels) at the frequency that ADSL uses. Or to be more precise at the band f frequencies.

At the moment the maximum is 55dbs loss to be sure of it working.
(Hopefully to be extended to 60 DBs soon)

The other figure is the Signal to Noise Ratio which measures how for above the noise level the signal is.

Here the bigger the figure the better as this means that signal is further above the noise.
