email server and autoturn - mail loop

I have recently set up a home mail server and am happy with the results. I understood that if it went off line +Net mailservers would retain the message until my mail server was up. To test this, i stopped my mail server and sent a test message - it bounced! Not what I expected.

Here is the message (with yahoo and plus accounts altered):

Looks to be looping around the +Net servers instead of waiting in autoturn?

Can anyone shed any light on what is going wrong, so I can fix it?

email server and autoturn - mail loop

From the looks of that, there is a mail loop.

I suspect this will occur until the DNS server catchup properly.

How long ago did you make the SMTP changes at PlusNet?

email server and autoturn - mail loop

DNS was changed for mannin yesterday morning, but the day before for my hosted domain that also fails in the same way (loops when mail server is down).

Surely that is enough time for the DNS to propogate within +Nets own servers (as the loop is internal to +Net)?
