dropping connection

i keep loosing my connection about every 30 -40 mins ,im using a solwise 110 router ,on a 512 conn,this has been happening for the last 2 weeks now ,if i turn off my router then back on its ok ,but i should not have to do this every half hour ,anyone have any ideas what this could be ,cheers

There are many things you can check:

1 - see if there is updated firmware for your router - try the solwise website

2 - read the following pages and tutorials:

Customer support troubleshooting page.

ADSL: Wiring and Filters - make sure ALL phones, faxes, 56k modems, sky boxes, (anything that plugs into a phone socket) are filtered and you are using the ADSL filter/splitters correctly, especially when connecting the router to a BT socket - i.e. use a filter if you don't alreadt but always connect to the ADSL side of the filter.

ADSL: Trouble Shooting.

3 - connect directly to the BT master socket and see if the problem still exists.
