download speeds through the floor

tonight my download speeds have been through the floor. 70kbps, normal speeds 450 to 550kbps I have re-booted and my line stas are stable. No contention issues on exchange. Max'ed in may sorted by end may so it's not retraining. MSR on PN 7000kbps router on 7392kbps.

Is anyone else having trouble tinight with extremely poor speeds. never done this before.

Any one suggest a reason.

I thought my speeds were bad, yours are even worse.

Reasuring thing is they are improving slowly.

Only took me an hour to upload a 78mb file Sad

back up to normal this morning?

someone at my exhcnage must have been downloading a heck of a lot last night.

or PN's balancing was out. Could pn's load balancing on the pipes cause this.

I know it's unlikely but could it in theory?

If it was contention then a BT speed test would have shon this up. If it happens again do the speed test and if that is normal raise a question to report a speed fault.
