connection freezing

Hi folks
Been with plusnet for about 18 months now with no problems until recently.
About 3 weeks ago, because of change in bank details I was cut off for about 4 hours. Made the next payment by phone and was switched back on no problem, but since then everytime I connect to a peer to peer network my internet connection freezes. I cant send or recieve email or use internet explorer. If I disconnect I cant log on again until I reboot my PC. Tried from two different computers on home network and result is the same. Spoke to customer support thinking I had been reconnected onto homesurf but apparently not....... All the p2p programs I use, ie. bit torrent, kazaa lite and edonkey have the same effect. I connect through an alcatel usb modem and use XP. Any help would be much appreciated

Try installing the driver upgrade 3.01
Upgrading / re-installing drivers might help.

Already tried latest driver and unfortunately made no difference. Thanks anyway mate......

Oh Man, Kazaa Lite!!!!!
Hope you've got a VERY good anti virus prog. It was running alive with viruses last time I tried.
