changing to router

at the moment i am using a binatone adsl 500 modem and am considering changing it to a netgear dg834 v3 router/modem. are there any problems i should be aware of in swapping these. or is it as easy as ive been told.

Routers are generally pretty easy to set up, Netgears are some of the easiest. The connection settings you need can be found at the link below.

my m/board has a usb2/lan 1 (10/100) port which im assuming means i dont have to connect the router via usb but can use the lan facility via cable. am i correct in this.

Yes, connecting via USB would remove part of the benefit of using a router.

I'd add my recomendation to the list for the Netgear range too. Wink
