i changed over from bulldog to plus.net as the price was cheaper and also i have heard they are good, for the first few days it was fine and dandy. all of a sudden it got disconnected for no reason wat so ever. so i reconnected and it connected fine, although no web site would load neither would any irc server etc connect. it has been like this for 2 days now. i just this last few mins got back on. i rang the status update like both on BT and Plusnet and not one single mention of a error on any service. anyone else had any problems with this? in the last few days, or if anyone can tell me what was up with the service. if was working from home i would have been knackered.

theres been a number of big unrelated problems that hit at almost the same times, youdr best sources of information are from the service status'

So can we assume the problems will be sorted soon? I've had awful pings and speeds, also disconnects over the past week.

Stick with PlusNet - the problem is not typical. I've been with Plus since November 2003 on an old Home Surf account ADSL and had no cause to complain. When there have been problems they have always been quickly resolved.

People are quick to condemn and slow to praise, so well done PlusNet.

That's the big problem facing PN, and any other ISP - people are quick to damm but slow to praise...

And the signal to noise ratio in forums as has always been slightly skewed towards the noisy end Wink

So thats what the disconnections the other day were about. I couldn't work out what it was at first and was blaming my router. Alas though, full and perfect connection to my router meant that i just blamed you guys Tongue Glad its all back and running fine .

Been with Plusnet over 2 years, a couple of problems, none of them enough to warrant a complaint.

As I'm sure has been said somewhere before - quick the rabble are revolting Wink

Anyway I've had my net access from PN for a few years now and in that time my connection has been rock steady, speeds good, my only arguements have been over:-
1. The fiasco with the botched maint. on the cgi service which lost mine and everyone elses site and
2. The total lack of any idea of good customer management with regards to product changes and announcements - but as I work for a large corporation I'm used to getting shafted by my own company so I can live PN doing it Wink

The main thing though remains that my net connection is rock steady (<me>touch wood</me>)... so I'm going to probably remain around a while longer and just hope this weeks issues have been a one-off blip in another wise excellent ISP's track record.
