Yet another MSR query for Comms Team

My MSR has been solid on 8000 since I was upgraded to Max year ago, with my modem and then new router always syncing at 8128/448
On Sunday 27th May I had a 12-hour power out, and as my router was therefore out of commission, went back to Voyager 105 (the laptop's battery was charged up fortunately). It clearly synced lower a couple of times as my MSR went to 6500.
Subsequently power and therefore router back, so I've followed the reboot-thrice-in-three days suggestion (always resyncing at 8128/44Cool and MSR's gone up to 7000 now, but wonder if it's going to bump back up to the full 8000.
Any comments?

thanks

paul

Yet another MSR query for Comms Team

Hi Paul,

What does the BT Speedtest show now?

http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/troubleshooting/bt_speed_tester.shtml

When the IP profile goes up to 7150kbps then the portal should show the speed as 8000kbps. It's probably a little lower than that at the moment.

Thanks for the reply Dave.

On 27th & 29th IP Profile on BT showed as 6500, this morning (31st) though it's showing as 7150 so I guess the portal will catch up soon enough.

btw (veers madly off-topic) my L8NC graphs have been showing small forests of packet loss when I'm on ptn-ag1, pte-ag1 and pte-ag2 but completely clear on thn-ag1 (where I've now landed), yet the PN gateway graphing doesn't seem to reflect the same sort of thing.

Hi Paul,

The portal is now showing as 7000 so it looks like it has caught up, syncing at 8128 should give you a profile of around 7150 as per this page, so it might just take a short while to push up to the full speed.

MSR Still on 7000 although BT speedtest showing 7150 and has done for a week now.
Modem/router still syncing at 8128/448
Probably doesn't affect performance but just to note that there's something not been updated properly

Its still showing as 7000 at this side but the profile hasn't been updated since the 30th May.

Your right in that it probably wont affect performance that much but in order to try and force the update I'd suggest disconnecting and reconnecting a couple of times a day. The more times you sync with the exchange the more likely the increase.
