I recently got a PlusNet ADSL line installed, however for some reason my line was graded as only suitable for 512kb. However my router is reporting a downstream attenuation of 44db which is obviously just on the edge of 2mb availability but with a SNR of 34db, which I believe is a very good level. So looks like the original grading of the line was incorrect.
PlusNet are looking into the problem and I believe they will be attempting a speed test and then if they confirm my figures will request a regrade from BT, so I'm just wondering if it's likely that I'll get the full 2mb with those values? From what I've read it sounds like there's a little bit of leeway with the attenuation as long as the SNR is high enough, is that correct?
