What's the important info from attenuation log?

Important:
ReceiveAttenuation_dB= 22 = download line attenuation
ReceiveMargin_dB= 28 = download Signal to noise ratio (SNR)

Good for 2Mbs and faster.

Not so important:
SendAttenuation_dB= 10 = upload line atten
SendMargin_dB= 24 = upload SNR
N/A

Thanks Smiley

Is there any data released by BT to show what's the highest connection speed we can achieve with a given attenuation?

Does attenuation affect IPStream and LLU in the same way? ie will one be faster than the other on the same line?

Both are using the same technology (ADSL) so suffer the same limitations regarding line limits. However IPstream line limits (what dB value supports what speed) are defined by BT and LLU line limits are defined by the LLU supplier and they can be (and I think they are) different in favour of LLU I think. i.e. the LLU suppliers are likely to offer a faster service on your line for the same limits.
