What part of the country are those of you that are still hav

As I said earlier, my ASDL has been fine since 5pm this evening. I am in Littlehampton on the south coast. West Sussex.

Just thought if everyone posted the part of the country they are in we may see a pattern appear.

Just outside Southampton. Getting a few websites besides MSN now, mostly very slowly. Others, eg The Register and dslreports.com still unavailable.

Running a PCI ADSL modem, have rebooted the computer several times tonight.

No sites at all - not even the portal...green light shows connected though but no route and no DNS servers assigned to connection. Not that it makes any difference if I use manual DNS entries or trying to ping just IP numbers.

Basingstoke, Hampshire.

I'm on the Cumbernauld exchange.

it's a town in Lanarkshire 15 miles from Glasgow and 15 miles from Edinburgh. smack in the middle.
I can only see some sites, and the speed is like 50 seconds in responding.
most sites im trying are blank pages.

When are they planning to update us on the status of this failure? - even though they now show a green light, it's obviously still down for A LOT of people....second or third time now since I signed up a few months ago.....

Possibly a very silly time to run a speed test, but I just ran the unofficial blueyonder/telewest one anyway (there are BT and Pipex options on the test, perhaps if we all slipped him £5 he could include a PN option). Does anything in these results help at all?

Section 3: Download Speed Results
Three downloads are tested; one from one of your ISPs servers, one through your Transparent Cache and one through an alterntive cache. This will give you an idea of how capable your connection is. Note: You should take the highest download speed into account.

Telewest blueyonder - 512k service Server Download:
0KB/s (0Kb/s) - **** SERVER ERROR: Timed out receiving data from the Server****

Download through Transparent Cache:
0KB/s (0Kb/s) - **** SERVER ERROR: Timed out receiving data from the Server****

Download through alternative Cache (webcache.bt.net):
0KB/s (0Kb/s) - **** SERVER ERROR: Timed out receiving data from the Server****

Section 4: Packet Loss
50 Ping Requests are sent to your server. The packet loss is measured by how many of the packets don't bounce back to the client. High packet loss may slow down your connection.

50 packets were sent, 50 bounced back; 0% loss (estimated)
Fantastic - no packets dropped!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Section 5: Transparent Cache Page Fetch Time
This test times how long your Transparent Cache takes to fetch a page from the Internet. Please note that this test is subject to many different parameters and sometimes may not be 100% accurate. This test can be used to show delays when trying to view Internet sites. The timing takes place from the moment the request for the file is sent to the moment the proxy server responds.
Average time taken to retrieve a page: 91ms - Fine, nothing to worry about
