Yeah, those are very good figures. Your definately fine for the 2Mb upgrades, and I would imagine you'll be fine for 8Mb when it comes also.

you are worried? mine are shocking

Line Attenuation: 46.1 db 29.0 db
Noise Margin: 25.6 db 27.0 db

gonna get a cable that runs from the router to the phone socket tho (about 15m) cos at the moment ive got

lead from router -> rj-11 to phone socket adaptor -> extension lead -> another extension lead -> socket doubler -> main socket

pretty bad, probably a lot of noise picked up from the lines and connections, so hopefully a high quality belkin cable that goes straight to the microfilter will help

dont have it going through the microfilter tho i dont know if thatl make any difference.

Microfilter wont make any difference, since it only makes changes to the voice part of the line. Have you tried plugging into the master socket to see if that makes any difference. Mine is connected by a 15m extention lead to an extention socket which is connected by extention to the master socket downstairs, so quite some wiring. Plugging into the master socket just put the SNR up by 1dB, didnt affect attenuation.

You really are a jammy so an so.....

Fair play to you mate, I wouldn't be worrying if I were you with those stats.

You must practically live on top of the exchange.

What do you reckon my fastest speed will be?

Search for your exchange here - http://www.samknows.com/broadband/search.php and you should get a postcode and MAP. With that you can work out where it is, and how far from you. I wouldn't imagine it's very far at all.

What do you reckon my fastest speed will be?

Is it normal to have very similar figures like mine:

Downstream Margin: 31 db
Upstream Margin: 31 db
Downstream Line Attenuation: 21
Upstream Line Attenuation: 20

Everyone elses i see are quite varied with up/down.

What do you reckon my fastest speed will be?

Well unfortunately, your downstream attenuation is going to limit you to 1Mb. You're very close to the 2Mb limit (which is 43dB), so if the restrictions are relaxed a little you may be in luck. Saying that, however, your Noise Margin isn't great. With respect to downstream Noise Margin, the bigger the figure, the better.
