What are the rules on running a webserver? I haven't seen anything to say it isn't allowed. So I would assume it would be ok for little purposes?

running a webserver on your computer? i assume it would be fine. bandwidth wouldn't be a problem and plusnet have said that they have no plans to introduce NTL-style bandwidth capping. I run a small webserver on my machine but it's mainly used for local tests and for sending larger files to friends (so they can use download managers and we dont have the speed problems MSN 6 has with NAT).
it's handy with a static IP and a static DNS service from dyndns.org Smiley

Yes it is fine to run a server on your ADSL connection so log as its for something legal and not for business use if you are on a home account.

It is for a friend to as I am helping them learn php. They don't want to install a webserver on their machine as it doesn't exclusively belong to them. So I am going to let them use mine to upload to that with an ftp server and then test php scripts on my box.
