Got a router and need to host my own Webserver. Any tips welcome or if you know a site that can help. Yes, got Static IP. Need to NAT the IP address to the local address.

Dear Customer,

You can certainly do this with your account. If you are using Windows there are number of easy to install/free webservers such as omnihttpd. You can find such software at www.tucows.com.

They also have software for Linux and Macs as well.

depends on the type of website you want to host, eg html,php,asp etc. If it uses any databases like mysql for expamle.

http://www.apache.org/ is a good place to start.
If you want to host php you will need the latest release from www.php.net

basic html sites are quite easy to setup on your own computer its when you start adding php and mysql its gets little complex.

There is a program that does all the work for you, but i cant find the url at the moment. I will post it here later.
