Upload speeds

I see no mention on the main +net site of upload speeds. I use my connection both ways and have a 512/256 setup and am going to "upgrade" to the download "up to 2MB" version. What does this mean in terms of upload?

The upload speed is fixed at 256 ( 32Kb/s ) regardless of your download speed.

Upload speeds

All current IPStream based connections from BT (which PlusNet use) have a fixed max upload speed of 256Kbs.

Higher speeds may be possible when the high speed (>2Mbs) connections arrive Q2 next year, when they will increase to a max of 432Kbs for 50:1 contented products and 832Kbs for 20:1 contended products. All speeds are still subject to line conditions.

If you want a faster upload speed now then LLU supplies this (upto 512Kbs currently) but that means moving to another ISP as PlusNet currently don't have such a service. The other very expensive option is SDSL which PlusNet do supply - see the business products.

I assume you mean 32KB/s the difference between a bit and a byte is significant.
