Go to >>here<<

Where it says 'See how fast you can go' enter your phone number & click on check speed, this will give you an approximate figure.

What ADSL equipment do you use.

Check to see if it can report line stats and post them here.

Info on how to find this for many of the common routers/modems are shown here.

They look very good and you should be able to get near the maximum for Max (about 7.5Mbs) - note the BT page is only an estimate, not a guarantee.

However, it does depend on your line quality and this will only be discovered once you get upgraded but with those figures I would certainly recommend requesting the upgrade. There is also the BT/exchange/ data rates which can sometimes go wrong but again you won't know until you are upgraded.

What ADSL equipment do you have? If its a USB modem I would recommend you change to a router as it can often give much better results and achieve higher speeds and be more reliable.

Hi,

I'm currenty on 2Meg.

What should I expect with these stats ?

Line Attenuation Dwn 43.0dB Up 25.0dB

Noise Margin Dwn 12.0dB Up 30dB

If they are ok do I have to request to be upgraded or are automatic upgrades still happening ?

The same username as you enter for your router- this is normally in the form <username>@plusdsl.net

Therefore in your case I'd expect this to be coleman86@plusdsl.net
