Unable to send emails. All else ok. can u help?

HELP!
Since yesterday, I cannot SEND emails. I can receive them and can access the web. When I try to send an email, the following message pops up:
" Symantec Email Proxy.

Your email message.....was unable to be sent because the connection to your mail server was interrupted. Please open your email client and resend the message from the Sent Message folder."

Can anyone help?

I had the same ptoblem yesterday (just using Outlook 2003 - Thunderbird and Outlook 2000 were still working fine !!)

Then I lost connection totally (problem with Plusnet/BT)

Once I reconnected, all mail was working fine.

Perhaps you should try disconnecting and reconnecting.
