Timeouts on tracert

Just had adsl installed, and have been having some problems, did tracert's and noticed something rather odd, Every single tracert the 3rd hop timesout
this is for any tracert including for www.plus.net.

Anyone else have this problem?

Timeouts on tracert

Exactly the same here, but I wouldn't call it a 'problem'.
Whether deliberate or accidental, some servers can't be bothered to reply to these requests, but it should not have any effect on your real traffic.

time out on the 2nd one all the time,,,this normaly happens,,,plusnet have clarified this to me via contact us,,,,
it is not a problem it happens on most computers..

imagine what i thought i have the 2 meg package and saw there was a pingthing missing,owwwww

but plusnet have clarified this is not a problem,,,

Timeouts on tracert

Just to confirm, this is not a problem.

When tracing machines, you may find that some can't be traced at all, while some can be yet some reasults are missing.

In most cases, this is done for security.

In other cases, machines will ignore pings to free reources for other legitimate traffic.

You could start calling it a problem where you are getting one reply, but all other are timed out.
