I'm on Premier Option 1 and for a while now I've been streaming recorded TV to my best mate who's in America via a Sling Box. I've allocated him a 2 hour slot between 1 - 3am so he can view the recorded programs.
Over the last few days, for some reason after a period that ranges between 10mins - 40 mins the transfer rate drops to zero and his picture freezes and the system drops out, We have both done speed tests using speedtest.net to check the cross Atlantic rate and they always seem good. We have checked line attenuation and SNR - and again nothing has changed.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how we can check who's side of the pond the problem is?
Is there any possibility I'm being throttled (surely not at that time in the morning)?
Is there any monitoring software I could run with my Netgear 834GT router to indicate if my upload rate was dropping
