Strange but true

This has happened twice. The speed was down (around dial up this time). Went throught the process in the 'Ticket' section. It run three checks came up with an OK and that low speed must be a 'contention' issue.

Ran the speed again check before going any further, low and behold it was back to normal.

Coincidence or do they have an 'issue' that needs a specific program to run that rectifies the problem ?

Speed checks are known to be inaccurate and should not be relied upon as a truly accurate measurement of the speed of your line

I do the speed checks when the the pages take too long to load. And when the speed checks show ok again the pages load normaly.

druidswand,

It's not a matter of insulting your intelligence, it's well documented and mentioned in numerious posts here on these forums and on other forums.

Of course your are entitled to your own opinion on the view.

In addition, the speed test will differ depending on which site you perform your speed test from, as the distance, path etc, that the data has to travel will ultimately affect your final result.

Oh, and finally if you just use the plus net one, it's known to give funny results at times, and again can be affected be your local exchange, firewalls etc.

The tests were done on three different sites.

The speed of browser loading was slow.

Went throught the process in the 'Ticket' section. It run three checks came up with an OK and that low speed must be a 'contention' issue.

Browser speed increased.

speed tests showed faster.

Has happened twice now.
