Still have connection problems

Last week I had problems getting a Broadband connection, I wondered if it was caused by the fact that I turned off power to my Binatone modem each night, I could get it back by doing a power cycle..ie unplugging line from BT for up to an hour, (customer support told me apparently the exchange thinks it is connected when it isn't and it checks every 20 minutes, by unplugging line it finds no connection and resets connection)
Have left modem powered all week and not had any problems connecting in morning, until today, no connection, ADSL light on modem steady so should be connected, tried turning modem off & on but no joy, unplugged line for just over 20 minutes and hey presto, connection back.....is this a fault at the exchange or what :?: :?: :?:

Poor connection - no effective telephone help

I am currently having connection problems approx every 8 days at present. Connection goes down. Most recent was last night (24/5/06). It is getting to feel a little like a third world electricity supply and I don't know how to air a complaint.
I called the help line this evening. Most attempts to dial received an immediate cut off. Persistent attempts then frequently gave me an engaged tone. Further persistance got me through the initial menu for a recorded anno regarding 'a 30 minute delay). After holding for 20 minutes this anno got changed to 'a 50 minute delay'. I gave up after 40 minutes - Not impressive.
I'm back on line now, after no on line contact during today. I had called the help line this morning before 0800 but gave up at the '30 minute delay' signal as I have work to do.
Is it just me or is this service deteriorating?
I am writing here in case Plusnet staff read, as I cannot think of another way to be in contact.

No i would say you are another person that as noticed how bad plusnet as got.

I wouldn't hold ya breathe thinking that anyone apart from customers read these forums.
