Speed limits to ADSL on a 11Mbits wireless network

Hello,

Does anyone know what the true transfer limit is in a 11Mbit/sec wireless network. I am upgrading to 1Mbps ADSL and I have noticed a consistant download speed of 780kbps rather than the expected, which is lower than expected. Is it possible that my wireless network is a limiting factor. I would have though not.

Thanks
David

Have you tried tweaking your MTU/RWIN. This is the most likely cause of your slowdowns. See MTU tweak.

A 11Mbs wireless connection should easily handle more than 1Mbs data transfer. unless your signal streangth means the transfer rate has reduced dramatically.

How far away from the receiver are you? Does it get faster the closer you get to it?
