RE: Speed Tests (hopefully there will be some action)

Most of then use www.adslguide.org the best way i say is d/l a file if you have a problem then contact plus.net

For an example i have just d/l this file:

URL http://205.188.160.44/hansdelans/bj04.ork
File Size 7282637
Completed 7282637
Total Time 00:02:19
Average Speed 51.17 KB/s
Create Time 11/03/02 09:14:47
Complete Time 11/03/02 09:28:47

on simular files i can get:
Average Speed 55.89 KB/s

see if anyone gets these sort of speeds?

cUnDaLl

p.s. i use a d/l agent (flash get)

hey mR cUnDaLl

wots your connection like

how long does it take you to log-on
wot asdl modem have you got
were abouts do you live (not for stalking reasons)Smiley
wot is your upload speed
would you be prepared to pay extra money for a faster conection 512/512 or 1024/256 etc
how much would you be prepared to pay for the faster conection
and would this faster package (if available with plusnet) be better etc i think you might understand this all as you seem pretty clued up on it all

PS sorry for the bad posts in the forums i only hope you can forgive my bad temper i just am pithed off

pss i am asking you as there is not much feedback from plusnet and you seem clued up etc

RE: Speed Tests (hopefully there will be some action)

I am on a standard ADSL Home account 512kbps running from Coventry (02476).

I have the Conexant PCI modem with the latest drivers and it all seems fine, i don't do speed tests as you usally get people doing over and over again which leads them to be overloaded, so all i do is carry on d/l from big firms to check me speed link the link above it's aol and i always get 50kbps from them..

p.s. i always use a d/l agent (flashget)
