Sky TV phone socket

since installing ADSL last year, I can no longer order films Via my Sky remote control.
I have to phone Sky direct.
It does not matter whether there is a splitter on the line or not.
Is this a common problem?
Any advice will be gratefully recieved

RE: Sky TV phone socket

Hi there

I spoke to friend from office who has broadband - I mentioned your problem, I have Sky also ! - he said you have not configured your lines correctly - i.e. after splitting your lines, your sky must be linked to phone side.

This assumes you have not linked your sky line before splitting the lines - do you follow !

Hope this helps.

RE: Sky TV phone socket

As far as I can remember the SKY engineer wired the digibox telephone cable straight into the wall connector box.

Do you need a kit to convert the connection so it can go through a micr filter and splitter if a telephno handset is connected to the same line?
