Simultaneous Broadband and Dial-up

Hi,

I have a wireless router with several PC's and laptops connected to the ADSL side of the filter and onwards to PlusNet, and a telephone to the other.

Is it possible to remove the phone from the filter and attach a laptop with dial-up modem to dial to an ISP other than PlusNet.

I am getting "no dial tone" from the modem, so not sure if it is an ADSL issue, or a Modem/Cable issue to the phone side.

Regards.....

ps. Just noticed, a bit similar to the post below !!!!!!!!!!!

Yes nothing to stop you using a dial up connection to a different provider at the same time as your ADSL one.

Simultaneous Broadband and Dial-up

It did slow mine down a little bit, but it only went from its original 42K to 40K.
