Setting up routed IP with a netgear DG834

Am trying to set up a netgear DG834 to route a hardware firewall.

I have been given a block of 4 IP address by plus net

Static IP: 84.92.xxx.x2 Gateway Address
84.92.xxx.x3 address for router
84.92.xxx.x4 spare address
84.92.xxx.x5 Broadcast Address
Netmask: 255.255.255.252

Using a guide I found http://www.zensecurity.co.uk/KnowledgeBase/article.aspx?id=10048 I have tried to set it up using the IP settings from above.

The firewall is not visible from outside so something is not working right.

Any thoughts? Anyone using a netgear 834 in a similar way?

Just because it is not visible does not mean it is not there! The 834 will not respond to pings unless you allow it to.

goto 'Wan setup' and tick the 'Respond to Ping on Internet WAN Port' if you wish for the router to be visible to the outside.

I dont have 4 ips at home on my router, but the subnet is correct so it should work.

PM me if u need any help.
