Our Sheffield POP has now been stabilised. Connectivity from Sheffield to London is now over our backup link. While the backup link is in place you may experience slightly increased latency or throughput between your connection and our services housed in Sheffield.
These services include:
- Our DNS (18.104.22.168 and 22.214.171.124)
- Webspace and CGI
- Email (POP3, IMAP and SMTP)
If you are experiencing problems with DNS resolution, please ensure that you are using our new high-speed DNS servers in Telehouse, London. The IP addresses for these servers are:
Our engineers will be performing work through the night to return our primary link into service. You may experience a short period of no throughput to the affected services as the main link is brought back up.
Please note that our Unmetered Connect (080 accounts are routed through Sheffield. This means that as we switch the links back over, you will experience a short loss of throughput.
ADSL and 0845 traffic will be unaffected as this is routed through our Redback termination platform in Telehouse, London. We are working to terminate 0808 traffic on our Redback platform in the near future.
