Simple little poll: are you happy with the service provided by PN?

Thanks for your time... and I hope the results (if the outcome is as I expect) will be considered constructive criticism and aid PN in seeing where they have gone wrong (if it isn't obvious anyway...)

Not sure as constructed this poll will achieve much. Long standing PAYG users are going to have a very different opinion to BB+ users.

I don't really think this will help your cause much, the vast majority of PN customers don't even visit here. The tiny proportion who do, out of PN's 160,000+ customer base, are here to look for help or complain and a few to help others with their problems. So really it is weighted in your favour, but PN can point to the tens of thousands who are not complaining so making your poll worthless. Sad, but true Cry

Check out my broadband speeds. Easy to see why I voted completely dissatisfied.

You can guess which TOP option I voted for Wink

Had enough of these guys really I have. The only thing I'd miss if I left this ISP are the other customers (You guys) who keep me company on this forum!

Anyway, PN clearly aren't going to get their act together anytime soon. They're not taking the slightest bit of notice of threads like this on their forums and we can grumble whinge whine all we want - they ain't gonna give us the service we've been paying for!

Nice poll though! - I always vote in them just incase it does achieve something!
I need a new signature... i'm bored of the old one!

You will notice that there is the option of 'completely satisfied' and I do agree that the poll will likely attract the people who are having the problems in the first place, but I hope with a good response we can show PN that people just aren't happy with what is going on. Short of plain complaining, it does give a more straight-forward and statistical overview.

I'm a customer of over three years now, and it's only since Jan/Feb that I have become thoroughly disillusioned with the service.

I think that PlusNet will only start to respond when they begin to see people "voting with their feet" - and unless there is a significant improvement in the next few weeks (which I doubt), then that is exactly what I will be doing.

Ho hum. Another evening of poor speeds and laggy gaming.

Whilst I've they've responded well to my queries, the current problems with speeds on BB+ has really caused me re-evaluate my ISP situation. I believe they have chance to put this right but after 2 weeks now of poor peak speeds, I'm losing my patience.

I can say that " I am totally satisfied with the fantastic service from Plusnet" , " the speed for things such as P2P are unbelievable (honestly they really are Sad )" , "they give a very generous usage allowance admitedly you have to leave your PC on 24/7 to get near to the max"..
Will that do ? Enough groveling ? If so can you lift the directors wallet off my BB connection just a little bit..pweez.. Wink

Well they took my money today but gave me little in return I got up to 2.2mb on a speedtest at 19.15hrs but that didn't last long as an hour later the speed was 115kps...Was trying to upload a few pictures to my website & took forever..

Well I will be voting with my feet soon. I'm currently eying up some offers from a very well known satellite television supplier (eg £5 per month for up to 8MBi with a 40GB/month cap + £20 one-off fee or £10 for up to 16MBi with unlimited usage + no fee)

Hi there.

Not quite. Have a look at the + or * after the word unlimited in Sky's marketing.

It is subject to an undefined FUP, details, such as they are, can be found here.

Mmmh. Where have I heard that before? Wink

Unlimited broadband is a thing of the past, no matter how its spun or flowered up.

Have Sky got "traffic shaping?"

You know the way +net throttle your connect so badly that it is impossible to get anywhere near your max allowance..

Sky appear to operate 'shaping' on the 'Connect' package, but not on their others. There is a very good forum at Skyuser which has a dedicated P2P section.
