Remote Access Issues

I have two clients which I have signed up on plus.net ADSL and in both cases I am having issues with remote access, and I wonder if this could be related to port blocking.

The first is on ADSL Home Standard and I have mapped RAdmin (port 4899) through the router to the computer behind it.

The second is on Office Standard 500, and I have switched on remote management of the router on port 8080.

Neither of these appear to work, is there a port blocking issue or have I lost the ability to configure routers!

Remote Access Issues

The only port PlusNet blocks is 135 when an outgoing connection attempt is made (which usually relates to virus activity) so there should no no issues on the PlusNet network with blocking the ports you are using.

ALl I can as is are you sure you have configured the routers correctly? Maybe you need to reboot the router you confgred for remote access on port 8080. Also does the router have an option to enable/disable remote access via the WAN port.
