Regrade to 2 meg

Hi

Router now sync's at 2 meg (regrade only went in yesterday as part of a migration+regrade unless BT were upping line anyway!), but speedtest still indicates 512K. Does the speed change need to be reflected on plus.net network as well - if so, does it take long?

Cheers

Regrade to 2 meg

Yes it does. Sounds like they're still throttling your line.
Quickest way is to ring support and ask them to change it.

Apparently it is just the line being sync'd up (could be the free upgrade work) and no throttling is done by plus.net in my case and just have to wait until BT Wholesale does its stuff and actually up the throughput of the line.

Regrade to 2 meg

Hiya

Originally I phoned plus.net who said it was BT Wholesale who were throttling me, I phoned again following comments made on adslguide.org.uk that this was plain wrong and the second time (different help desk chap this time) said, yup, no worries let me change your product from 512K to 2 Meg and now its fine. Suggest you ring up!
