Well my chums, ive got the answer. Some UK lines have a little thing enabled called DACS. Basically this means your line bandwidth is shared with a neihbour. Some of you may have seen your old connection hook up at 33.6 on a 56k modem and wonder......why is this happening, ive increased the gain and i still get a cack connection. Well folks its thanks to BT and their genious DACS system, not that they would ever tell the public!
So when you upgrade to ADSL they have to take DACS off your line, but this takes time as i have discovered. So ladies and gents this is the possible reason for having to wait for BT to get their asses in gear. Don`t blame Plus Net...its not their fault.
Hope this has been some help.
