REQURED: Speedtouch USB modem install CD

Does anyone have an original Alcatel SpeedTouch ADSL USB modem installation CD or knows where I can download it? I have the CD which came with the modem when I joined Freeserve but over time I'm having problems with accessing the CD. It will not run most of the time - seems like its developing some errors.I've downloaded the latest drivers from the manufacturers website but they are only upgrade drivers and still require the original CD. So I'm looking for a fresh CD. I'm scared that one day I won't be able to install my modem.
I would prefer it to be a copy of original one released by Alcatel and not a customised one from some ISP.

I hope it's not illegal to ask for this CD :?

Hi,

You should be able to get from here

http://www.speedtouch.co.uk/usb.asp

there's even an ISO image which you can either burn to CD or open with a program like Daemon Tools.

Actually if they're no good let me know, I've got a frog knocking about somewhere with the original 1.4.3 Alcatel driver CD, I can probably copy it and email it to you.

Those 'Driver Upgrades' are actually the full drivers which will work, the only problem with the Speedtouch USB is it asks you for your phonebook.ini file which comes with your original installation CD, in my case it was Freeserve.

Luckily however that file is non-specific so if you download those drivers from the site and then copy and paste this stuff into notepad and save as phonebook.ini, you can use it during installation.
