Quick before ADSL goes down again!

This might provide you with documentary evidence of PlusNet's current unnaceptible "service" level Cry

I found a great free connection monitoring utility called PingLog at http://www.securitysoftware.cc/apps.html. Set it for 212.159.8.137 for instance (that is the IP address for plus.net).

During 8 hours today PingLog gave me the following summary (it also listed the times and duration of each packet loss but I am not enclosing it here as the list is too long).

Andy

**************** Test Summary ****************
Test Ending time: 12/11/2002 22:12:26
Ping destination: 212.159.8.137
Delay between pings (sec): 5
Ping timeout (sec): 3
Total Ping attempts: 9563 Responses: 6132 Packet loss: 35%.
Average ping response time: 27
Host unreachable count: 20
Total down time: 4 H 36 Min 46 Sec
Longest down time: 1 H 12 Min 38 Sec

Hi Andy

This kind of information is really useful. Can you keep this running 23x7?

Kind regards
