Problems connecting to usenet.plus.net

The first time I set up the usenet news account in Outlook Express it worked perfectly.

Ever since, every time I try to connect I get the following message:

502 Permission Denied - You are unable to access www.plus.net USENET service (Typhoon v1.2.3)

Configuration:
Account: usenet.plus.net
Server: usenet.plus.net
Protocol: NNTP
Port: 119
Secure(SSL): 0
Error Number: 502
Code: 800ccca0

Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

Thank you.

What account package are you using with +Net.

Only certain accounts have access to the full access feed.

Are you actually connected through PlusNet? From the errors given it suggests you are using another ISP.

Even if you are on ADSL Home Surf you should be able to access usenet, just not binaries. If you are connecting via an external ISP make sure you use thier usenet service or if you are using BT Retail Broadband you need to make sure you have the home esentials package to access PlusNet's usenet service.

Hello,

I am on the ADSL Broadband EasyStart package.

This problem occurs when I try connect to usenet while connected to PlusNet.

Thanks.
