Problem with my line

I'm having problems connecting to ADSL,I've been told my line has failed the test and is now with BT.
Any idea how long I have to wait and how much will it cost me. Also,I am paying for a service I can't use, will I get refunded ? :shock:

Which service are you paying for, but cannot use?

If you're referring to ADSL, and it hasn't been activated because the line has failed the test, then my understanding is you'll get the activation fee refunded.

But you don't start paying for the service until the line's activated...
