PlusNet 1MB ADSL Help

Its available from all exchanges that the normal 500 service is, however the limits for line loss are stricter and you must live within 3.5km from your exchange.

PlusNet 1MB ADSL Help

Anyone know if there is any hope on the horizon for ppl who want 1MB but cant because of line loss at present. I have a loss of 54DB on this line but I'm moving shortly and hope to get a faster speed, but as I aint moving far, presume I will have just the 512.

BT aren't planning on changing the limits for the service at the moment.

BT are real slow, I was reading somewhere that in Sweden they have 10MB for under 20 a month, now thats speed. Oh how nice it would be if we had that here.

Most ADSL equipment I'm aware of (at least the stuff on sale here, much of which is of EU or US origin) has a maximum download speed of 8Mbps and maximum upload speed of 832kbps. Where do the Swedes find the equipment to match their 10Mbps lines?

It isn't all ADSL over there, some of it is fiber and even some ethernet.

You might also like to talk to A&A. They did some tests over a year back, pushing speeds of 43mb+
