Planned maintenance for Monday 7th April.

I notice that +net are planning some maintenance for tomorrow.

Considering that after every maintenance there's always a connection or speed problem, I thought I would be the first to post a message of dispair.

However, I may be pleasantly surprised and find that everything works. If so then I apologise in advance.

If I'm correct, how do I set up my new connection dial box back to my old 56k modem?

The settings on the +net dial up box are as follows:

Connect using PPP ATM Adapter.
Type= unspecified Bit Rate
Rate= 1-5Mbit/sec
Permanent Virtual Circiut= VPI: 0 VCI: 38
Null encapsulation.

Would these setting be ok to use on a 56k modem?

Appreciate any help offered.

No,
They are your ADSL settings. The normal modem settings are somewhere in the support pages.

If you look on the Connection Settings page you'll find a couple of links to download .ins files that'll setup your connection for you.

The details of the modem setup are also on that page too.

Thanks Chris and Pete, I'll go and have a look at those setting.

I'm pleased to say that my prediction of network problems were unfounded and everything seems to be working so far.

Good work +net people.
